Welcome to a little rundown on my favorite group of girls! Within our full semesters squad (see photo above), we have 2 separate teams.
Hineni is the Hebrew word for “Here I Am, Send Me”, which we all saw super fitting for our setting and the lifestyle we’re choosing to live, so, without further ado, meet team Hineni!

First, we have Shanin! She became very special to me super quickly! Shanin’s original flight to Gainesville got canceled, so I invited her to ride with me and my family down there, and she was glad to oblige. I found very quickly that she has a heart for truly seeing others and their souls. She always chooses to see the best in someone, and takes the time so see where they are in life and with Christ, and can pinpoint the exact qualities that make them unique! She’s always the life of the party and has a tik tok quote to go with EVERYTHING! I appreciate her and her lightheartedness more than she knows.

Next is dearest Abigail! Abigail is the sweetest, most happy go lucky, wildflower in the middle of summer soul you’ll ever encounter. She never ceases to ask you how your day is (really is) and to ask how to help you. She genuinely cares about others, and will always do what she can to help grow you further. This girl could never  (intentionally) hurt a fly, and that’s a quality I only with I could share with her.

And here we have Kara. Kara is the coolest chick you’ll ever meet! She lives in Tampa and has a surf ministry that she teaches at on Sunday afternoons. She goes with the flow, and never seems to have a trouble in the world. Kara is the first person who will always make you feel included, and always leaves a seat at the table for you! She always asks you questions to get to know you more, and really listens to what you have to say.

Next in our lineup we have Dailey! Daily is most genuine soul you’ll ever meet and just a breath of fresh air! She gives me all the Dolly Parton vibes in the best ways! She’s sweet, sassy, and has a laugh that could cure sickness! You can feel her heart of gold in every conversation with her. She’ll always offer to help you before you help her, and her love of Christ and others shows in every aspect of her.

Now we have Jessica. She’s very soft spoken, but has things to say that are worth listening too. She’s insightful and enjoys watching others to see how they operate, then builds a relationship off of that. She’ll always ask about you before talking about herself, and genuinely cares about what you have to say! She gives good hugs (VERY important) and will always give you feedback that will leave you feeling seen and heard.

Last, but certainly not least, is our team leader, Victoria! This is Victoria’s first time leading a WR squad, and let me tell you, she’s doing amazing! She’s very insightful and intentional when she talks to you, and doesn’t hold back when helping you in an area you’re struggling with. She’s the same age as my older brother, so the older sister role got adopted very quickly! I always appreciate the thoughts she lets us in on, and the ways she shows us love through her actions.

These are the ladies who are becoming more and more special to me with each day that passes, and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for them! 🙂

Prayer Requests:

  – That Nicaragua keeps borders open to the unvaccinated so that our squad (and team) doesn’t have to split up to travel and serve there.

  – Good Health. We’ve had 2 medical problems happen in the last week, so prayers for everyone to be healthy moving forward would be appreciated so, so much!!
